Our Fees

First Appointment


Your first session with your therapist lays the foundation for your work together. During this 50-minute session you will review important practice policies, discuss your goals for treatment, and work with your provider to lay out a treatment plan tailored to your unique needs.

Therapy Session


Evidence-based treatment plans typical call for weekly sessions of psychotherapy. The frequency and number of times you meet with your provider for therapy or counseling services will depend on your specific treatment plan and goals.



Psychological assessments can vary in cost, depending on your needs and the types of questions you want answered. Typical assessments include a clinical interview, review of relevant documents, testing, feedback, and a comprehensive report.

Payments can be made by cash, check, or credit card; and they are due in full at the beginning of each psychotherapy session.

A New Way to Leverage Your Benefits

At Coronado Psych, we work with Advekit, a service that helps to streamline the reimbursement process so that you pay only the part of the fee that you owe, and they take care of the rest.

They will submit claims on your behalf to help you chip away at your deductible, so you can start benefiting from your out-of-network benefits quicker!

Do you take Insurance?

We do not currently take insurance directly.

But, you maybe still able to use your benefits! Here’s how that might work:

  1. PPO insurance plans usually reimburse for some percentage of ‘out-of-network providers’.
  2. You can contact your PPO insurance provider and ask about the details of their out-of-network mental health care coverage.
  3. We can then provide Superbills that include additional information for you to submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement.

NOTE: If your insurance plan is an HMO, or if you have Medicare or Medi-Cal, you will not be able to use your insurance plan.

How do you know what’s covered?

Here are some questions that you can ask your insurance provider:

  1. What is my deductible?
  2. What percentage of mental health services do you reimburse?
  3. Are there any limits to what is or isn’t covered?
  4. How and when will I get reimbursed?

Need to Cancel or Reschedule?

We charge a $250 fee for late cancellations (within 24 hours of session time) and no shows, so please be sure to cancel/reschedule in advance.
