Dr. Diana Graham, Ph.D.

Licensed Clinical Psychologist in San Diego, CA

Licensed Psychologist (PSY32128)

Dr. Diana Graham is a licensed clinical psychologist. She specializes in working with children and teens to address mental health challenges within the context of living with medical issues. Dr. Graham has worked with youth living with a range of illnesses including diabetes, cystic fibrosis, severe asthma, autoimmune disorders, and blood and cancer disorders. She completed her graduate training at the University of Colorado Denver, and in 2019, received her Ph.D. following completion of a year-long internship at Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital in Maryland. After earning her degree, she continued her career at Children’s Hospital of Orange County where she completed her fellowship and became a staff pediatric psychologist.

Dr. Graham has a passion for working with children and their families to help improve quality of life when managing challenges related to medical diagnoses. Whether your child has a long-standing chronic illness or a new medical diagnosis, it can be a difficult emotional adjustment for families, contribute to more anxiety and depression for your child, and be a barrier to enjoying typical childhood experiences. Dr. Graham is skilled in evidence-based treatments for children and adolescents, integrating cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) frameworks. Dr. Graham views therapy as a collaborative system to ensure that the client’s values are also being considered throughout the course of therapy. While change during therapy is anticipated, aligning therapy goals with one’s values will always be a core component to better lasting change.
